At Illum Rooftop in the heart of Copenhagen is Skagen Fiskerestaurant with a fantastic view. We have brought a large part of the team from Skagen, so that guests can get the same Jutlandic, personal service in Copenhagen. Fish is also the central element of our menu here, fresh fish and shellfish, which are raised from the waters around Skagen. Selected suppliers ensure that we receive the fish shortly after it has been auctioned.

Where is Skagen Fiskerestaurant located at Illum, and how do I find you?
We are located at Illum Rooftop in Copenhagen, so you have to go all the way to the top of Illum. Once you are inside the building, just follow the signs to Rooftop, and you are close. Up here, the atmosphere is a bit more laid-back, even though you are in the middle of the city. Please arrive a few minutes early so you can land and get an overview.
What are your opening hours and when can you order food?
The restaurant is open Sunday to Wednesday from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM and Thursday to Saturday from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM. The kitchen is open every day from 11:00 AM to 8:30 PM. If you want to eat late, it's a good idea to arrive early so you can order at your leisure. If you just want to stop by for a drink, you're also welcome.
Do I need to book a table, or can I just drop by?
You can drop by spontaneously, but we recommend booking a table if you want to be sure. Especially on weekends, holidays and on days with events, it can be quite busy. A reservation makes the visit more relaxed because you know that the table will be ready. If there are several of you, booking is almost always the easiest solution.
What can I expect from the menu at Illum?
With us, seafood is the focus – with classics and seasonal favorites. We go for pure flavors and ingredients that are allowed to play without being complicated. It should be easy to choose something you will enjoy, whether you are for a light lunch or a longer dinner. Please ask the staff if you need help choosing.
Do you have takeaway from Illum Rooftop?
Yes, you can take Skagen with you. Take away is a great option if you want to eat at home, at the hotel or just further out into the city. Order in advance so you know when it's ready, and we'll take care of the rest. If you have special requests, you can often get help by contacting us in advance.
What events do you have and when are they?
We like to do a little extra during the week with regular events. There is a DJ on Friday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, so the weekend gets off to a good start. On Wednesday you can get “Meget mere moules” for 175 DKK, and on Thursday and Friday there are oysters and champagne from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. If you want to come specifically for an event, we recommend booking a table.
Can we hold a party or corporate event at your place?
Yes, Illum Rooftop is a truly beautiful setting for both birthdays, celebrations and corporate events. We are happy to help you find the right solution so that you have an evening that suits your size and occasion. The earlier you contact us, the easier it is to make it all happen. What is the atmosphere like – is it “nice and formal”?
The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and you don't have to make it something formal to feel at home. It can be an evening with good food, good energy and a service that feels present. Many people come for lunch, a date, a night out with friends or just a drink with a view. In short: you can come as you are.
