You will find us on the corner of Bredgade and Esplanaden with Kastellet as a “neighbor” – one of those addresses in Copenhagen where everything feels a little extra nice once you get there. We are located in Hotel Guldsmeden Babette, so you can easily look for the hotel if you are finding your way around.

The restaurant is open Monday–Thursday 10:30–23:00, Friday–Saturday 11:00–24:00 and Sunday 11:00–23:00. The kitchen is open Sunday–Tuesday 11:00–20:00 and Wednesday–Saturday 11:00–21:00. If you want to eat late, come early so you can order without rushing.

Yes, you are welcome to have breakfast, even if you are not staying at the hotel. An organic brunch with coffee, tea and juice is served on weekdays (Monday–Thursday) from 6:30–10:30 and on weekends (Friday–Sunday) from 7:00–11:00. It is an easy way to start the day – especially if you want to have some time and peace.

You are always welcome to drop by spontaneously, but we recommend booking a table if you want to be sure of a seat. This is especially true when the city is busy or if there are several of you coming together. With a reservation, you can sit back and just enjoy the food.

The Esplanaden is decorated as you know it from Skagen – with hut dishes, the Swedish red color and sand on the floor. In addition, we have outdoor areas where the atmosphere can be anything from calm and relaxing to more lively and “buzzing” depending on the time and location. In short: a place with life, but still with room to shrug your shoulders.

Yes, freshly caught fish and seafood are a big part of our menu, and that's why many people choose Esplanaden. You can come for a light lunch, a multi-course dinner or just something good in a glass. If you're unsure what to choose, just ask - we'll be happy to help you find what suits your appetite.

Yes, you can order take away. Take away is open every day of the week from 11:45 AM to 10:00 PM, so you can take the Skagen taste home, to your hotel or further into town. If you need to hit a specific time, it's a good idea to order in advance.

Yes, Esplanaden can also be used for meetings and conferences. It works especially well if you want to combine professional content with a lunch or dinner in a cozy setting. Please let us know how many of you are and what you need, and we will help you find the right solution.
